Make every knock checkable, and count what it books

We don't knock doors. Your reps do. We give homeowners a way to check them in ten seconds, and give you a ledger of what every rep and every stack of door hangers actually booked.

At the door

A page a homeowner can check

Homeowners are told not to trust anyone who knocks. The state's own advice after a storm is to check who's at the door. So every rep gets a page, opened from a QR code on the badge, the card and the door hanger. It shows:

  • The rep's photo and name, and that he works for you
  • Your office address and office phone, with "call to confirm he works here before you let anyone on your roof"
  • His city solicitor permit, and when it runs out. An expired permit says so
  • Your liability insurance, if you've shown us the certificate
  • Your Google rating, and quotes from neighbors who agreed to share them
  • A "missed him? ask for a call back" form, with texting as a separate yes

When a rep leaves, his page says he's no longer with you, the same day. A printed badge can't do that.

Never on the page

"Licensed": Texas has no state roofing license. Anything about the deductible or handling a claim (Bus. & Com. Code §27.02, Ins. Code §4102.163). A free inspection as the pitch. The page says who he is and how to check. That's it.

The ledger

What each rep and each print run booked

Your reps' app logs the knock. Nothing logs what happens after the door closes: the hanger on a door nobody answered, the card on the counter, the yard sign. Those jobs show up later as "referral" or "Google." The ledger fixes that.

A code for every print run

"Nick, Wells Branch, week of Oct 12" gets its own QR code. Every scan is counted (link previews and bots apart) and lands on Nick's page with the batch attached.

A tracked number for every rep

Printed on his hangers and cards. Most homeowners call instead of scanning, so the number does most of the counting. About $3 a number a month, billed to you by the call-tracking provider.

Your CRM says what booked

We import your CRM's jobs with source and rep, and use the statuses you agreed count as booked and signed.

One table, every source

Printed, scanned, call-backs, calls and missed calls, booked and signed, by rep and by print run, next to Google, referrals and ads. Plus printing cost per booked inspection.

Why owners want it

It settles "that was my lead"

If you pay reps more on leads they found than on company leads, every week someone says a job was theirs. The ledger shows which hanger, which number and which rep, so the argument becomes a lookup.

It also answers the question no one can answer today: is another rep or more ad budget the better next dollar? Both get measured the same way, by what each booked inspection cost.

What it isn't

No tracking of people

  • No GPS and no rep location. Your canvassing app already does that if you want it
  • No texting of phone numbers bought for a street. Only people who asked, and texting only if they said yes
  • No hail sizes on the street lists we give reps. A storm date, never "your roof took two-inch hail"
  • No promise about scan rates. Expect one or two scans per hundred hangers. The rep's number carries the rest

After a storm

Which streets to work first

The morning after hail, our hail alerts show where 1-inch-plus hail fell near you, from NOAA radar. With county records we turn that into a street list: how many homes, how many look owner-occupied, the year they were built, and whether a roof permit is on record since the storm. The streets are grouped into areas of a day or two of doors each, ranked to knock first, and shown home by home on a map.

"Knock first" is a priority for your crews, never a guess that a roof is damaged. And a street on your list is never on another client's list for the same storm.

Reps get the street and the storm date. Not a hail size, and not "your roof was damaged." Only an inspection says that. Each assigned area becomes a knock list on the rep's phone, in walking order, one tap per door.

Cost

An add-on, flat

The door-knock ledger is $400/mo for up to 10 reps, on top of any plan, or on its own if you don't need anything else from us. See pricing →

Respect "no soliciting" signs, HOA rules and your city's permit rules. We'll put your permit numbers on the pages, but getting them is on you.

No storm needed

Knock the neighbors of every job you sign

The neighbors just watched your crew tear off a roof. Every signed job from the last 30 days that we can place on a home shows on your Door knocking page. One click gives a rep a knock list of the 30 closest homes within 250 meters, closest first, never the customer's own house.

Same phone list, same one tap per door, and the script line reminds the rep not to name the customer.

Why it works

A truck in the driveway and a dumpster at the curb are the best yard sign you'll ever have. The list just makes sure someone knocks while they're still there.

Questions

We knock doors. Is this for us, or only for shops that run Google?

Both. The door-knock ledger works on its own, if all you want is to know what your reps and hangers book. Most storm shops we talk to never bought SEO, and don't need to.

Will my reps think it's tracking them?

It doesn't track them. There's no GPS and no location. It counts what the hanger and the rep's number produced, which is how a rep proves a lead was his.

What if a rep quits?

Mark him gone, and his page says he's no longer with you the same day. His QR codes still count scans, so the hangers he left keep showing up in the ledger.

Do I need SalesRabbit or another canvassing app?

No. If you use one, keep it for routes and knocks. The ledger reads what booked from your CRM and the calls from the tracked numbers.

Can the page say we're licensed?

No. Texas has no state roofing license, so we won't write it. The page shows what you can prove: your city solicitor permit, your insurance, your office and your reviews.
